This week, for the first time ever, we had a submission from two community members with the same quote! So, this week’s quote was chosen by Kali B. and Brittany L. See why they chose this quote and what it is below:
Kali B: “My favorite is one said by Professor Dumbledore from Harry Potter. He states, ‘Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.’ It was said in the 6th Potter film where the darker witches and wizards are taking over both the magic, and non magic worlds. It means a lot to me in this context as it reminds me that, when I face dark times I can ‘turn on the light’ to help me through it. It reminds me that I am strong and I have the power to shine.”
Brittany L.: “While there are many quotes from this series that speak to me, this one was the most profound. Life is always going to have dark moments, and I’ve had my share. Living with depression means that I struggle with dark times every day. The only way to make it through is to look for the light at the end of the tunnel, and remember that this moment will end. I am continuously looking for those light-filled times, which I am fortunate to have many of thanks to my daughter. Darkness is not forever, although it can seem that way. Just remember to turn on the light.”
