Everything You Ever Needed To Know About Emetophobia: Q&A Time

As promised, here is the Q&A! I got a lot of great questions from friends, family and the lovely people in my support group and I’m excited to answer them for you. Counseling Session 5: I See EMDR Working

I’m about a week behind on writing about this, but I do plan on writing out my sixth session soon after this one. The sixth session (my most recent) dug up a lot about past events that I wasn’t necessarily ready to face yet, so I’m trying to decide how to best write that out for you guys. However, I am ready to write about my fifth session so here goes! This session was a great one. I actually saw the EMDR working this time, instead of assuming I was doing something wrong. EMDR is so fascinating, because it’s something you don’t realize is working until you’ve had time to process it sometime later.

Counseling Session 3 & 4 and Other Random Thoughts

I apologize that  I have been slack on writing on this blog about my counseling. While it’s no excuse, work has been quite stressful, and with a puppy who has hit his terrible two’s a bit early, my hands are quite full. However, I have some time to write and figured I would fill you in on what’s been going on in my counseling sessions. Counseling Session 3 – Intro to EDMR So in this session, we did some more preliminary work before beginning EMDR. In order to start, you have to answer a series of questions that basically determines how in tune you are with yourself.

Counseling Session Two: Thoughts and Reflection

Hello my beautiful internet friends! I hope you have been having a wonderful week and that you are anxiety free on this Monday. As you know, I have decided to head back to counseling to polish up my coping methods and hopefully find a new way to rid myself of emetophobia. If you want to hear about my first session, you can click here. I had my second session this past Friday and we have not yet started the EMDR, but did discuss it more in depth. This being said, I do feel like I need to at least clarify some of the statements from my EMDR post and explain it a little better.

What in the world is EMDR?

**I just wanted to preface this with saying that this article was what I found on my own research and how I interpreted it. It has come to my attention that after attending a session with a licensed professional, my deductions were incorrect and you can read about what EDMR is in my first blog post about counseling HERE.** Hello my lovely internet friends! I’m hoping to write more than I did in March, which means I’m already exceeding those expectations…since I didn’t write at all in March.
