As promised, here is the Q&A! I got a lot of great questions from friends, family and the lovely people in my support group and I’m excited to answer them for you. These questions are all answered by me, by my knowledge and what I’ve researched, so it’s my take, but like many things there are always more than one take. Before I get into the meat of this blog post I wanted to make sure I made a quick announcement! I am going to be doing a Q&A about all things Emetophobia, anxiety, panic, counseling, me and other things in my next blog post.
I’m about a week behind on writing about this, but I do plan on writing out my sixth session soon after this one. The sixth session (my most recent) dug up a lot about past events that I wasn’t necessarily ready to face yet, so I’m trying to decide how to best write that out for you guys. However, I am ready to write about my fifth session so here goes! This session was a great one. I actually saw the EMDR working this time, instead of assuming I was doing something wrong. EMDR is so fascinating, because it’s something you don’t realize is working until you’ve had time to process it sometime later.
I apologize that I have been slack on writing on this blog about my counseling. While it’s no excuse, work has been quite stressful, and with a puppy who has hit his terrible two’s a bit early, my hands are quite full. Counseling Session 3 – Intro to EDMR So in this session, we did some more preliminary work before beginning EMDR. In order to start, you have to answer a series of questions that basically determines how in tune you are with yourself.
